Message from the Managing Director - Autumn 2021

12 March 2021

In February, Cedar Woods released its first-half results for the 2021 financial year.

The results were well received by our shareholders and demonstrated the resilience of Cedar Woods during the pandemic. Our strong performance can be attributed to the diversification and quality of our property portfolio, combined with the government stimulus that the housing sector has benefitted from across the nation.

Despite COVID-19 restrictions being in place in Victoria for much of the first half of the financial year, Cedar Woods was able to maintain buyer interest and launch our newest community, Mason Quarter in Melbourne’s north which is seeing favourable sales early on.

In Western Australia, we continue to see strong enquiries and sales and we are set to welcome over 900 new residents into a Cedar Woods community this year.

Market conditions across the country are expected to continue to remain favourable as the economy recovers.

The Cedar Woods team was honoured to win two Awards for Excellence at the Urban Development Institute of Australia (WA) ceremony held in February. The first for Environmental Excellence at Bushmead and the second being the Judge’s Choice Award for Hamptons Edge in Mandurah.

We’re also excited about our new national partnership with The Smith Family – Australia’s leading children’s education charity. The partnership aims to assist disadvantaged Australian children and young people through primary, secondary and tertiary education. We expect this will be a strong and long-lasting partnership.
