Emergency Communications Facility now operational in Williams Landing

5 June 2020

The new Emergency Communications Facility is now fully operational in Williams Landing, marking a significant milestone for the town centre.

The $25.93 million purpose-built building, which settled in March this year, is a valued addition to the community and will see around 170 people move from working in Melbourne's Docklands to the new building in Williams Landing.

The 3,126 square metre property was pre-sold to Hellenic Property Investments Pty Ltd in 2018 and was pre-leased in full to the Assistant Treasurer for and on behalf of the State Government of Victoria, under a 15-year lease agreement.

As one of the fastest growing commercial precincts in Melbourne’s west, Williams Landing has emerged as a prime business and investment destination and is now home to a workforce of over 2,100 people.

This announcement follows the recent completion of the $23 million strata building at 101 Overton Road – the fourth standalone office building within Williams Landing.

It is expected that Williams Landing could host up to 23,000 jobs once fully developed, according to a MacroPlan Dimasi report. Set for more growth, Cedar Woods is currently seeking pre-lease opportunities for two new low-rise office buildings – 1 Kendall Street and 95 Overton Road.

Cedar Woods holds a significant pipeline of undeveloped sites (17 hectares) at Williams Landing which will continue to be developed over the next 10 years – across office, retail and residential projects.
