Cedar Woods scoops up UDIA (SA) Awards for Excellence
31 October 2019
Cedar Woods has picked up three major UDIA Awards for Excellence for its Glenside development.
Glenside was the winner of the Masterplanned Development, Residential Development and Urban Renewal categories, and will now be shortlisted for the 2020 National UDIA Awards.
Glenside's success follows last year's recognition of Cedar Woods' South Australian Marketing Manager Nicole Turnbull who picked up the Women in Leadership Award.
The judges held the Cedar Woods development at Glenside in high regard, recognising its contemporary design while also retaining the iconic heritage of the site within a unique botanical setting.
UDIA (SA) Chief Executive Officer Pat Gerace said Glenside "reinvigorates and re-energizes a previously neglected site, creating a suburb that acts as a positive catalyst for the surrounding community space whilst maintaining the rich heritage and history in the area".
Glenside has enjoyed significant project success since launching in February 2018 with buyers attracted by the well-planned integrated community within an existing highly desirable suburb.
Nearly 100 residents have now moved into their new town homes, with a further 50 residents expected to make Glenside their home at the end of the year. The first residents will move into Glenside's Botanica, Adelaide's first garden apartments, mid next year.
Glenside will see the transformation of a 16-hectare city-fringe site into a masterplanned community with 1,000 new homes and high quality landscaped public spaces as well as walking and cycling trails.
