Cedar Woods announces major new community, Eglinton Village, on the doorstep of new METRONET station

29 August 2022

National listed property developer Cedar Woods will start construction in September on a new 1,200 lot masterplanned community in Perth’s fast growing northern corridor.

Located 45 kilometres north-west of Perth’s CBD, the new Eglinton estate will be on the doorstep of Eglinton train station, which is currently being delivered as part of the WA Government’s METRONET program, forecast to open in 2023.

With the first release expected in early 2023, the new community will offer land, house and land packages, a number of public open spaces and a primary school.

Just 3 minutes from the beach, the site is also conveniently located close to existing and planned shopping centres, education and recreational amenity as well as various employment centres including Joondalup.

Cedar Woods’ WA State Manager Ben Rosser said we look forward to joining this rapidly growing corridor to deliver a well-connected and thriving coastal community in Eglinton.

“With construction due to commence next month and registrations of interest currently being captured, I am excited to announce the name of our newest community is Eglinton Village”,  Mr Rosser said.

“The vision for this community is to deliver a truly modern village connected to transport, open spaces, shops and the pristine coastline of the northern beaches, which we anticipate will be popular among local first homebuyers, upgraders and downsizers.”

“Cedar Woods has a long history delivering first class transit-orientated developments across the country and we have complimentary ambitions here in Eglinton.”

Member for Butler and Attorney-General John Quigley welcomed the new development. He said the northern suburbs are developing at a rate of one street every week.

“With the Yanchep rail extension and the freeway to Romeo Road well on their way, the northern suburbs will remain one of the fastest growing areas in the country.”

Federal Member for Pearce, Tracey Roberts said Eglinton was one of the largest and fastest growing areas in Australia.

“I look forward to welcoming our new residents into this beautiful part of the world. As we create new communities, we create employment and a plan for the future,” Ms Roberts said.

“Eglinton Village is designed to be a thriving community that residents will be proud to call home. Projects like these employ hundreds of workers, and with Eglinton Village being so close to the State Labor Government’s METRONET program, we are providing important infrastructure for the future needs of residents.”
