Nathan has progressed through a wide range of senior roles since his appointment in 2002 to lead the company’s expansion on Australia’s east coast.

With experience in various sectors in the property industry including valuations, asset management, commercial leasing and property development, Nathan established the Victorian office and later expanded the business to include Queensland and South Australia.

In 2016, Nathan was appointed Chief Operating Officer for the company, working with the Board and Managing Director to strengthen Cedar Woods’ operating platform and to prepare the business for further growth. In 2017 Nathan took on the role of Managing Director and relocated to the head office in Perth to lead the company.

Nathan holds has a Bachelor of Business degree and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is also a Graduate of Harvard Business School in Boston having completed their Advanced Management Program.

Mr Patrick Archer

Chief Operating Officer

Patrick has more than 26 years’ experience in property, construction and development, delivering high profile projects across residential, retail, commercial and industrial sectors.

Prior to joining Cedar Woods, he had key roles on a number of Melbourne’s iconic developments, including several large scale civic and infrastructure projects.

Patrick joined Cedar Woods in 2005 and has played an important role in the success of the business over the past 14 years, previously serving as State Manager of Victoria and South Australia and leading Cedar Woods’ expansion into the Adelaide market.

Mr Leon Hanrahan

Chief Financial Officer

Leon is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Secretary with significant experience in accounting and finance roles in Australia and overseas.

As Chief Financial Officer at Cedar Woods his responsibilities include financial strategy and planning, capital management, financial systems, reporting and compliance.

Leon’s time at Cedar Woods is preceded by management roles at a large private group, Royal Dutch Shell and Ernst & Young. Leon also serves as a Non-Executive Director of Amaroo Village.

Mr Ben Rosser

State Manager – Western Australia

Ben joined Cedar Woods in 2015 and is a highly experienced business leader having amassed more than 25 years’ experience within commercial property agency, property development, manufacturing and service sectors.

Prior to joining Cedar Woods, Ben was CEO and Director of an ASX 200 subsidiary company, a position held for four years. The business comprised approximately 150 employees across four locations with a combined turnover of approximately $180m.

Preceding this he held COO, CDO and ultimately CEO positions over a combined eight-year period within a private equity funded company he co-founded with partners in 2004 operating within property tourism, resource and affordable living sectors.

Mr Paul Freedman

Company Secretary

Mr Freedman was appointed to the position in 1998. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

He brings to the company a background of over twenty-five years in financial management in the property industry, preceded by employment in senior roles with major accountancy firms.

Chief Information Officer

Jimmy has over 24 years’ experience in Information Systems roles across a breadth of industries such as logistics, transport, finance, manufacturing and professional services. Before Cedar Woods, Jimmy has spent time in senior roles at Toll Group, DXC Technology and Westrac. He brings with this wide experience, an innovative view on how systems can provide a competitive advantage in property development.

He joined Cedar Woods in 2018 to lead the IT function, with a mandate to modernise, optimise and ultimately, transform process and systems across the company. Jimmy has a passion for driving change, creating high performing teams and influencing positive culture throughout organisations.
