WA responds to buoyant property market
22 June 2021
The past 12 months has seen buoyant property market conditions in Western Australia. A combination of record-low interest rates and government stimulus has created perfect conditions for purchasers, from first home buyers to downsizers and everyone in between.
Whilst the stimulus period ended on the 14th of April with the conclusion of the Commonwealth HomeBuilder scheme, detached and medium density housing demand has remained strong. As a result, new land and townhouse stages are currently under construction within nine of Cedar Woods’ eleven trading estates.
Most recently, Cedar Woods has announced the next stages of development at both Bushmead in Perth’s east and Harrisdale Green in Perth’s south-eastern suburbs, adding an additional 471 housing options to the market for eager buyers.
Following the success of Bushmead North, Bushmead South has exceeded pre-launch expectations, with almost 500 registrations of interest for the 450 lots available. This sustainable development responds to the overwhelming demand from purchasers wanting larger lots and a connection to nature.
Consistent with Cedar Woods’ developments across the country, fostering community connection is a primary focus at Bushmead South. A major contributor to the southern cell’s early success has been the prominence of the existing sense of community at Bushmead. Over 70% of existing residents have said they would recommend the estate to others due to Cedar Woods’ dedication to community.
Connecting the north to the south will be nature-lined walking trails throughout the 185 hectares of retained bushland as well as the addition of two public open spaces. This joins a long list of established amenities in Bushmead North including five parks, 6km of walking trails and a brand-new display village.
Likewise, the newest precinct at Harrisdale Green – Greenlink Mews – promotes nature as an attraction, with homes set to overlook green open spaces and tree-lined streets. Cedar Woods recently announced the development of 21 exclusive house and land packages in partnership with builders TERRACE Homes and Nicheliving.
In a fast-growing property market, the new Greenlink Mews precinct aims to provide a unique opportunity for Perth homebuyers to find a dream home that is both accessible and modern, offering three and four-bedroom packages that won’t break the bank.
These highly sought-after new additions to the Cedar Woods portfolio in WA are expected to pique the interest of the Perth property scene. Through the provision of high quality, affordable communities, customers are able to get into their own homes sooner.
The outlook for the Perth market remains positive. Cedar Woods is committed to thinking ahead, ensuring our designs respond to the changing world.
