Meet our People

Here’s what some of our talented people have to say about working at Cedar Woods:

James Bovell, VIC State Manager

I joined Cedar Woods as a Development Manager to work on the Williams Landing project within the Victorian portfolio. The diversity and complexity of this project is what initially attracted me to the business, however the collaboration and opportunity to learn and be mentored by others in the business has supported my growth and resulted in career progression within the business, with my current role being State Manager (Victoria). I am also a member of the Executive team.

I am grateful for the learning and development opportunities Cedar Woods provided, and as a leader within the business I am passionate about ensuring the team continue to benefit from opportunities to learn, whether that be on the job or through formal training opportunities.

As a national property developer, Cedar Woods supported me transferring to Perth and relocating back to Melbourne after being promoted to Development Director.

Linda Malicdem, Financial Controller – Business Planning

My career journey at Cedar Woods began as an Assistant Accountant, and it was absolutely my best career move. The support I've received for my professional development has been extraordinary, enabling me to pursue further studies including Graduate Diplomas from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and the Governance Institute of Australia and an Executive MBA from Melbourne Business School, while advancing to the role of Financial Controller – Business Planning. At Cedar Woods, the commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a supportive culture has profoundly shaped my career trajectory.

As a member of the Finance team, I have the privilege of collaborating with individuals across the entire organisation. What I enjoy most about working at Cedar Woods is the wealth of career advancement opportunities, coupled with a visionary and supportive leadership team and a dedicated group of skilled professionals. This dynamic combination creates an outstanding environment where I can continuously grow, learn, and build a fulfilling and rewarding career.

Lauren Young, Acting WA Marketing Manager

Collaboration is an important part of the culture at Cedar Woods and I enjoy working closely with the Development and Sales teams to deliver quality projects. Whilst my role primarily focuses on marketing strategies to increase the project brand and generate leads to increase sales, I am passionate about community engagement so I find purchaser events and community initiatives really rewarding.

In addition to the opportunity to work on exciting projects, I have also benefited from a range of development opportunities that support my career objectives, including a secondment to WA Marketing Manager to backfill parental leave.

I am proud to work for Cedar Woods and the strong culture, career development opportunities and talented team make it a great place to work.
