Introducing Sage, Queensland's newest community

12 September 2022

Cedar Woods’ newest masterplanned community in Queensland, Sage has officially launched to market. Contract signing commenced in early September for the $105 million community that is set to appeal to a range of owner-occupiers, including first home buyers who will see value in the larger than average homesites for the area, set amongst natural greenscapes and tree-lined streets.

Lots in stage one range from 303sqm to 642sqm, and are priced from $299,000.

Located in the Moreton Bay Regional Council, a significant growth corridor between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, Sage is part of the new Morayfield South Emerging Community Area, earmarked for priority residential development by the State Government.

Cedar Woods Properties Queensland State Manager, Michelle Wooldridge, said Sage would be part of this growth story, with the early interest attributed to astute project planning.

“Burpengary was chosen for its growth potential and the convenience it offers people looking to position themselves within easy reach of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, as well as regional centres and employment hubs like Caboolture and Maroochydore,” she said.

“Sage has been designed primarily with owner occupiers in mind. Every detail of the community has been carefully considered to ensure Sage is highly liveable and importantly, feels like ‘home’ for its residents.

“From the beginning, we knew we wanted the community to reflect the lifestyle of the area, and that’s why we have retained more than 30 per cent as green space, in keeping with the greenery the area is known for.”

Cedar Woods will implement a range of environmental initiatives at Sage, including plans to improve habitat for local wildlife, by establishing more than 200 nesting boxes – half of which have already been installed - throughout the community’s nature corridor, which will connect to a broader 300-hectares of protected land in the region.

A new park at the heart of Sage will further connect the community to nature with approximately 30 per cent of homesites overlooking or adjacent parklands, bushland and green spaces.

“The Burpengary community is quite diverse, with a mix of first-home buyers, families and retirees in the area, and we’re already fielding interest from a wide range of buyer groups in these new lots,” said Ms Wooldridge.
