First home buyers and young families driving the growth of St Albans

Residential development St. A is making Melbourne’s north-western suburb of St Albans a rising star for first home buyers and young families.

Strong demand for town homes in the masterplanned St. A estate is proof that more people are realising the potential of living in an established community just 16 kilometres north-west of Melbourne’s CBD.

Strategically positioned in the heart of St Albans and with Stage 9 residences eligible for the government’s $25K HomeBuilder Grant, St. A is selling fast to first home buyers and young families who want to live close to the amenity offered by the suburb.

According to Lloyd Collins, state manager of Cedar Woods, it’s no surprise that a large number of sales have already gone to first home buyers and young families.

St. A is already 75 per cent sold with the majority of sales so far having been to the owner-occupier market.

The remaining homes start from $549,000.

The suburb has recently benefitted from significant government spending on infrastructure, including provision for the level crossing removal at St Albans train station; just 400m from St. A, and Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
