Cedar Woods launches first Glenside Apartments

August 2018

Cedar Woods has launched the first apartments at the $400 million Glenside development following the recent sales success of the development’s town homes.

Botanica, Adelaide’s first garden apartments, will be nestled within Glenside’s glorious grounds, surrounded by mature trees and opening-up directly onto Glenside’s first public reserve.

The six-storey Botanica will incorporate 86 one, two and three-bedroom apartments including ground floor apartments with private courtyards, and upper-level apartments with generous balconies set amongst the tree canopies.

The upper level apartments will enjoy uninterrupted views towards the city and the Adelaide Hills.

Designed by leading architects DKO and Hames Sharley, apartments at Botanica feature generous open plan living spaces, a focus on alfresco living, and gourmet kitchens with stone benchtops and Smeg appliances. Botanica also offers secure basement car parking.

Mr Patrick Archer, Cedar Woods’ Chief Operating Officer said Botanica offers buyers something truly unique with the design blending seamlessly into the natural environment.

“Instead of walking out onto a main road or public thoroughfare, Botanica residents will step out directly into landscaped open space flanked by mature trees, said Mr. Archer.

“This serene setting seems a far cry from the hustle and bustle of the city but is just a short walk from the CBD and the premier Eastern-suburbs shopping centres, offering residents the best of both worlds.

“There has been strong demand for the apartments at Glenside since the project officially launched at the beginning of the year. Buyers are looking for an alternative to what’s currently available in the apartment markets - they’re looking for room to breathe.

“We’re expecting that the apartments will appeal to diverse a range of buyers including young families, couples and downsizers, all attracted by the parks and gardens.”

Prices for the Botanica apartments are currently being finalised but are expected to start in the high $300,000s.

Glenside is already proving popular with homebuyers because it’s an integrated community within an existing highly desirable suburb.

To date, 38 architecturally-designed town homes have sold at Glenside achieving average prices of $889,000 and a top selling price of $1.25 million. Construction of the first town homes started in May with the first residents expected to move into their homes next year.

Glenside has attracted a range of buyers including many people living in nearby suburbs looking to upgrade their lifestyle with a brand-new home, while staying close to friends and family.

Located on the city fringe, Glenside is just a stone’s throw from Adelaide’s southern parklands and Victoria Park, and alongside the Frewville Shopping Centre which has been awarded the title of “the world’s best independent supermarket”. It’s also just a few minutes from Burnside Village.

Glenside will see the transformation of the 16-hectare site into a master-planned community with 1,000 new homes and high quality landscaped public spaces as well as walking and cycling trails.

All homes at Glenside will be set in a green botanical environment including landscaped parks planted with 400 new trees alongside sensitively restored heritage buildings.

The Glenside project is projected to create 450 full time equivalent local jobs over the life of the development, across all key disciplines and trades. This will help to create a further 1,850 jobs in the wider economy.

Registrations of interest for Botanica are now open with the apartments available for sale to registered buyers in October. To register visit www.glenside.com.au.
