New Queensland Community Flourishes on Launch Day

27 November 2023

Flourish, our newest community in South Maclean, has received a positive response from buyers keen to be part of a new development nestled next to natural bushland within the growing Logan City area.

Solid demand from buyers saw strong numbers coming through our new sales office with expressions-of-interest received on 70 per cent of lots in the first release on the opening day.

The first release at Flourish consists of lots ranging in size from 300sqm to 569sqm and are priced from $216,750, providing a competitive and affordable offering relative to blocks in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Flourish is Cedar Woods' fourth master planned community in Queensland following Ellendale in Upper Kedron, Sage in Burpengary and Greville in Wooloowin.

We have placed a key emphasis on retaining and enhancing the natural environment with more than a third of the masterplan dedicated to an ecological corridor around Flagstone Creek which runs through the 40.7-hectare site.

Cedar Woods’ Development Director Blair Britton said he expected significant interest in the new Flourish community from local families and owner occupiers due to the lifestyle on offer as well as the relative affordability of South Maclean.

New research by Urbis shows similar house and land packages in Brisbane and the Gold Coast sell for at least a $239,000 premium to those in the South Maclean catchment.

“South Maclean is becoming a real south east hotspot thanks to its affordability and the increasing amenity on offer, which is expanding year on year,” Mr Britton said.

“There is significant investment being spent in the region on vital infrastructure as well as healthcare and education facilities designed to meet the needs of the growing community.”

Mr Britton said Flourish was ideally located in one of South East Queensland's key growth corridors, just 40 minutes from Brisbane and one hour from the Gold Coast.

“South Maclean is a beautiful scenic area with Flourish offering residents easy access to an array of amenities and recreational offerings including Pebble Creek Park, with its playground, picnic facilities, sports ground and multi-use courts.

“Residents will also be just minutes from the Greenbank Shopping Centre and close to the 12 public and private schools in the surrounding area. There is also a proposal for a future childcare centre at Flourish to support young families moving to our growing community.

“The Mount Lindesay Highway - a major arterial road linking north to the Logan Motorway, Ipswich Motorway and the Pacific Motorway – provides access to the wider Logan area and beyond.

“The great thing about our new community is you are so close to so much amenity but can come home to a peaceful and tranquil environment where the whole family can flourish.”

Mr Britton said the 511 lots on offer will be released across 10 stages, with civil works on the first stage to be completed by mid next year.
