High Wycombe Junior Football Club among beneficiaries of Cedar Woods Neighbourhood Grants Program funding
A NEIGHBOURHOOD grants program will help seven groups share in $10,000 towards community sports services.
The grants will provide much-needed equipment to cricket and soccer clubs and support safety improvements for a junior football club.
High Wycombe Junior Football Club president Greg Geier said the Cedar Woods’ Neighbourhood Grants Program would keep player safety top of mind.
“The grant will allow us to continue to have a St Johns Ambulance at all junior home games to provide a safe environment for players and spectators for the 2018 season,” he said.
Cedar Woods has donated more than $415,000 nationally through the grants program since 2009 and continues to support communities in the surrounding areas of Bushmead.
Other sports groups to benefit from the annual windfall include Swan View Cricket Club, Forrestfield United Soccer Club, Medjugorje Centre for underprivileged children, High Wycombe Cricket Club, Kalamunda Cricket Club and Helena Valley Primary School.
