The Role

This is a rare opportunity to join a successful ASX 300 listed property developer in an Executive capacity. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead and manage our Victorian team to deliver high quality commercial, retail and mixed-use developments.  You will drive a high-performance culture to achieve the corporate strategy and be focussed on team leadership, financial performance and growth targets of the Melbourne office.   

In this role your key responsibilities include:

• Deliver strong people, culture and leadership outcomes, including career development and talent management initiatives.
• Leading and managing the Victorian state office to deliver financially successful developments.
• Achieving growth targets through acquisitions and new business ideas.
• Exceeding projected financial outcomes.
• Ensuring corporate objectives are achieved in terms of sponsorship and sustainability.

Who You Are

You will be an individual who wants to get activities and initiatives started, without thinking about all the reasons they cannot occur. Balancing this is an understanding of the need for structure and compliance in a listed environment, whilst also looking for a better and more efficient way.  You will be confident in your own views and beliefs, but also interested and willing to listen to other’s views and opinions before setting direction. Working towards defined goals and targets is important, whilst also appreciating problems that arise need to be addressed and resolved, not just pushed to one side. Finally, you will be able to see the bigger picture and empower others but have enough coverage of the detail to deliver confidence when required.

Your Experience

As a key member of our Executive team, being a natural leader with experience managing a large team is just as important as your technical skills. To be considered for this role you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in business, property, construction, finance or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in the property industry with the majority in property development of both residential and commercial projects.  
• Identification, due diligence and negotiation of sites for acquisition.
• An ability to influence stakeholders and construct persuasive arguments.  
• Strong industry networks
